Specializing in river smallmouth fishing from kayaks on isolated
stretches of river in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

For river lovers...

I measure seclusion on two criteria: lack of road noise and absence of other people. While the rivers we'll fish do run under some bridges, they tend to be peaceful places where the sound of nature generally goes uninterrupted. There's no fear of pleasure boaters, jet skiers, or party tubers ruining all the enjoyable aspects of river fishing.

Trophy caliber smallmouth

Most of the streams we'll fish on have the potential to produce multiple fish over 20" in a single day, especially those in NE Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Our best 5 fish on a float trip have yet to fall below 90" on these streams.

While not every river has this caliber of resident fish, they all hold trophy fish and this has been learned through experience.
